Yea, a Tick. After finding one attached to my dog and taking a photo of it, I spent weeks wanting to paint it. I OBSESSED over it. I hadn't felt the urge to create art in YEARS. Growing up I loved drawing, painting, sketching, doodling etc. but then I grew up, formed a major case of Impostor Syndrome and just stopped.
The painting wasn't great, but I thought it was pretty. So I painted more stuff, started sharing it to my Facebook and eventually created a page dedicated to showcasing my journey through art, relearning to draw, learning how to use digital art mediums and kind of just having fun... without spamming my personal Facebook feed. Within a few months things shifted a little and I drew something that made me want to create it in a physical form. So I bought some clay and went to work. I loved it.
Then I did it again.
And again.
Evidently I made so many things I had too many, but I couldn't stop, I just wanted to keep going. So I made an Etsy shop.... I was mortified, I was scared no one would want these weird lumps of clay flesh and teeth. Despite my Impostor Syndrome though, people really liked the weirdly cute/gross things I was producing. I have a graveyard of dead hobbies all over my house that's proof I don't usually stick to one thing for very long, but it's been a year and a half and I really have no intention of stopping any time soon. I even have this neat little site!
Thank you to everyone who's supported my obsession and helped keep this fixation alive <3
